This Saturday (06/08/16) marks 71 years since the Nuclear bombings of Hiroshima, which took over an estimated 140,000 lives. Although the world has not been subject to a mass genocide of that level since, unbelievably there is still no international law which prevents the development and possession of nuclear weapons. Talks regarding the elimination of nuclear weapons are set to resume tomorrow as the UN Open Ended Working Group on Nuclear Disarmament meet in Geneva. Could the UN potentially be on the verge of eliminating nuclear weapons for good?
