More Australians are falling under the poverty line according to the latest report from the Australian Council of Social Services (ACOSS) and the University of New South Wales.

The Poverty in Australia Report shows over 3 and a half million people were living in poverty in 2022-23.

While the government has made improvements to some social security payments, advocates say there is still a long way to go.
