Omar Deghayes is one of eight British residents still imprisoned at Guantanmo Bay in Cuba. Although Britain has released citizens, Omar is being held without charge and no prospect of a trial becuase he is not a British citizens, but rather a recognised refugee. After studying in Britain Omar travelled and met his wife in Afghanistan where they had a child. When war broke out they fled to Pakistan where they were arrested by bount hunters. His wife and child were released but Omar was sent on to Guantanamo where he has been subject to torture and human rights abuses. His sister Amani who is a British citizen talks about her family’s frustration.
