Rejection of SA Minister’s comments at major oil and gas conference

A renewable energy expert, previously a senior oil company executive, rejects SA government claims there would be “no net zero” without gas backing up renewable energy sources. The claims were made by SA Energy Minister Tom Koutsantonis at the annual conference of oil and gas industry heads, where he also told them “we are at your disposal.”
This came amid a week of daily actions in Adelaide as protestors opposed SA Government support for oil and gas. 12 people were arrested – mostly from Extinction Rebellion SA.
