Younger people with physical and mental disabilities should be spared living in nursing homes, a research paper says. Once they move into smaller shared houses, they have more independence and have the opportunity to be more involved with the community. It still remains unclear whether the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will provide funding for Young People in Aged Care.
