Australia seems as good a place as any to spend your retirement. However, the indices that policymakers refer to on retirement issues vary in this assumption. There’s the affirmation that certain statistics are cherry-picked to suit certain agendas and policy.

Nick Parmeter spoke with Dr. Rafal Chomik of UNSW and Matt Grudenoff, Senior Economist at The Australian Institute, to learn what sort of information these indices actually contain, and how they’re used by policymakers – not always in the best interests of retirees.
