There’s been some confusion this week over whether the Federal Government is considering substantial reforms to the Northern Territory Aboriginal Land Rights Act. Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Amanda Vanstone says fundamental land rights under the Act are safe from change. But Editor of the National Indigenous Times, Chris Graham is skeptical of the Minister’s assurances. He says the government is saying one thing, but actually doing another.
