NSW domestic violence services see spike in cases

Domestic violence support services in New South Wales are seeing a spike in client numbers and an escalation in reports of violence over the past week.

Women’s Safety New South Wales has reported a 50 per cent increase in violence being reported specifically relating to COVID-19, as well as an increase in first time reports up 47 per cent from last week.
