While South Australia’s recent gale-force winds caused mayhem for locals and emergency services, there has been an unexpected upside. South Australia reached wind gales up to 90 kilometres an hour, increasing the number of energy produced by wind power up to 85%, and exporting energy to other states.

The Clean Energy Council found out these numbers and expects alternative energy sources are more accepted in the near future.
