The Njarrandjeri people are best known for their part in the Hindmarsh Bridge affair. They’re an outspoken group who take their custodianship of the important Coorong and the Murray Mouth very seriously ….and tomorrow in a park by the river they’ll be launching a Sea Country Plan for the area. Tom Trevorrow is chairperson of the Njarrandjeri Heritage Committee and he says it’s a chance for his people to take a place at the table when decisions are being made about water, land use and fishing in the area.
