NIDAC 2014: Calls for action on fetal alcohol syndrome

The 3rd annual National Indigenous Drug and Alcohol Conference kicked off in Melbourne today where Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is just one of the important issues being discussed. FASD affects not only Indigenous women and must be addressed by Australia as a whole. Experts say developing solutions for harmful drug and alcohol use in consultation with communities is the ideal response as it will work more effectively and quickly than other tested methods.
