Today an alliance of conservation groups has sparked a fight back in Adelaide against the Murray Darling Basin Draft plan, released for public review on Monday. The activists are aiming to spread the word of potential shortcomings in the Government’s plans.

Members from the Conservation Council, The Wilderness Society and various other NGO’s have expressed their issue with the current amount of gigalitres prescribed for the Basin, which left untouched will pass in 2012. The activists believe the time for dialogue and action is now.
