Redfern is a Sydney suburb that has been surrounded by controversy in recent years. It plays host to a large indigenous community and is now the focus of a new 6-part television mini-series called Redfern Now. The series was directed in part by Rachel Perkins, who is renowned for directing films such as Bran Nue Dae and the made for TV movie, Mabo.
