Thousands of handwritten letters, photographs and videos of Nelson Mandela digitised allowing online viewing of his walk to freedom. Launched as “The Nelson Mandela Digital Archive Project” it boasts more that 1900 entries. The ability for the project to be completed was due to partnership between the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory and the Google Cultural Institute.
