A trial of safe injection rooms is being held in Richmond, Victoria in an attempt to make it safe for drug users, as well as to get injecting drug users off of streets. They are following the example of Sydney who have had one in place for the last sixteen years in Kings Cross.
Some say that there are considerable positives in making is safer for those injecting drugs.
