Muslim summit delegate speaks out
Today Government and Muslim leaders came together in a bit to prevent the emergence of the so-called ‘home-grown’ terrorism, that led to the London bombings. But before the summit got underway there was criticism of the hand-picked delegates, which as you heared on The Wire last night, were thought by some to be unrepresentative. Tonight, we hear from the youngest participant of the summit. 21-year-old Iktimal Hage-Ali disputes claims that the forum was unrepresentative and says there is now a constructive dialogue between the government and Muslim communities. She began by telling Alma Mistry the main issues to be raised at the summit.
