In the wake of last week’s leadership spill, Victorian MP Julia Banks resigned and published an official statement on Wednesday.

Calling out “internal political games, factional party figures, self-proclaimed power-brokers and certain media personalities”, her statement arrives at a time of intense turmoil for the Liberal Party, and may be the catalyst needed to tip the party towards better treatment of female politicians.
