Last week, the Northern Territory Chief Minister Eva Lawler imposed a youth curfew in Alice Springs for TWO weeks after the riots in a business close to the CBD area.

Streets in the Red Centre are quiet, but more than 7 thousand young residents are affected by the curfew.

Mayor of Alice Springs Matt Patterson has asked Territory and Federal support to reduce the crime and come with a long-term solution.

The Wire’s contributors from 8CCC’s The Big Brekky Show asked Mayor Patterson after the incident, his thoughts about it.
