International tourist destination Kangaroo Island is known for its fishing, native fauna and pristine wildness. Now a petroleum exploration company has applied to do seismic testing in waters around the island, galvanising community opposition.
Australian Greens senator Penny Wright moved a motion in Federal parliament today to have Environment Minister Tony Burke reject the application.
