Australia’s longest serving High Court Judge the Honourable Michael Kirby QC retired in 2009 but since stepping down he has not speaking his mind. In recent times he has turned his attention to supporting the increasing number of older Australians who are gay or lesbian. Kirby, who he himself is openly gay is fighting for equality for those who are entering aged care facilities.
