Media ownership reform is an issue that’s been raised by various Government’s time and time again over the years. The latest bid proposed by Communications Minister Mitch Fifield was passed through Cabinet overnight will allow more freedom in cross-platform ownership. It would see the “two out of three rule” scrapped, as well as the “reach rule”.
