Proud Indigenous Kamilaroi woman Marjorie Anderson was named NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year 2025 in Sydney ahead of International Women’s Day on the 8 March.
The Indigenous crisis support line co-designer had been nominated for her leadership with 13YARN, the first national crisis supports services for Indigenous peoples.
13YARN has received close to 70 thousand calls delivering an ear to listen when Indigenous people are at their most vulnerable.
