Last week, The Wire covered a poll from The Australia Institute showing regional and conservative voters are in favour of the gas policy introduced by Opposition Leader Peter Dutton. 

But a new poll commissioned by Market Forces via research company YouGov shows THREE out of FIVE Australians believe expanding renewable energy is a better solution than gas. 

The survey also shows Australians are not sure gas fracking will bring energy bills down, and worry gas could affect their communities’ health.

Market Forces also claims the big financial companies are still investing in fossil fuel projects, which doesn’t accurately reflect the wants of consumers.
