Macklin to put billions into selected remote communities

Billions of dollars for health, housing and education has been ear marked for a select group of remote communities. The Government says it’s a significant step towards closing the life expectancy gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Indigenous Minister Jenny Macklin today announced how the money would be allocated, following on from a commitment at the Council of Australian Governments last year.
