A group of Australian scientists are working to alleviate poverty in mountainous regions of South East Asia helping farmers plant and produce temperate fruit. The project, funded by the Australian centre for International Agricultural research, is giving these people, some of the poorest in the world, the opportunity to tap into the lucrative luxury food market and generate much needed income.
