Long Covid sufferers – Research finds brain swelling

It’s nearly been five years since the World Health Organisation declared COVID-19 a pandemic.
The pandemic might be remembered for lockdowns, mask wearing, online learning and working from home, and even though COVID is no longer declared a public health emergency, it still remains part of our daily lives.
People continue to get sick from the virus and in some cases, die from it. There are also hundreds of thousands of Australians living with Long COVID.
Researchers from Griffith University in Queensland have found swelling in the brains of long COVID patients – notably, in the area of the brain responsible for learning and memory.
