In London, Police have been hesitant to talk in detail about last Thursday’s underground bomb attacks, as they work through the wreckage seeking forensic information that can explain exactly what happened. But they have today announced that they believe four suicide bombers, based near the northern city of Leeds, carried out the attacks – perhaps the first known suicide bombings in England. Professor Kevin Clements from the University of Queensland’s Australian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies says its important to realise that there is a conflict within Islam at the moment between moderates and extremists – both political and religious.
