Mark Latham has unleashed a stinging attack on the Labor Party, but says his tell-all political diaries are only setting the public record straight. In his book, “The Latham Diaries”, which is yet to be released, the former opposition leader describes the Labor caucus as being “infested with sewer rats from the movement.” Dr Paul Strangio from Monash University thinks Latham is pointing out some real problems within Labor, however, his personal attacks are so indiscriminate that they overshadow the important issues witin Australian political culture.
