Khampan Thammakanty is the only person to have survived the brutal death camp that housed members of the Laos royal family. He visited Australia recently for the first time to reunite with his family and meet members of the Laos community. Australian journalist Christopher Kremmer has just written a book about the fate of the Laos royal family called “Bamboo Palace”.
