A small community radio station trying to set up to help communication in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina found itself up aginst the big guns of the US administration who didn’t want it to go to air. Jim Ellinger says he feels bruised by the encounter with FEMA, the Federal body set up to tackle terrorism, which was determined to keep KampRadio from getting to air.
