American-Iranian Journalist Roxana Saberi was released from prison in Tehran yesterday after an appeals court suspended her eight year sentence for espionage. When first arrested she was only charged with not having a press pass but eventually those charges were raised to spying. Saberi’s incarceration calls into question the issues of press freedom for the upcoming Iranian election in June and the tumultuous relationship between Iran and the US.
