Yesterday Candice Reed turned 30. She was the first Australian child conceived through in-vitro fertilisation , also known as IVF. Nowadays one child in every classroom is conceived that way and 20 per cent of all couples need fertility treatments. But where does this urgent need to become parents come from? Are we brought up with the thought of having the natural right to be a parent?
