Israel has blocked the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza after the first phase of the ceasefire deal ended without agreement on progressing a second phase.
As the ceasefire standoff between Israel and Hamas escalates, Aid agencies say the population of Gaza remains highly vulnerable and the blocking of aid trucks into the Gaza strip only raises health fears for the already undernourished population.
Oxfam Australia’s assessment of Gaza prior to the 6 week temporary ceasefire, was described as ‘apocalyptic, with famine-like conditions.’
