Liberal Democratic Party Senator David Leyonhjelm’s Senate inquiry into ‘nanny state’ laws has raised the issue of mandatory bike helmet laws. A number of submissions have come out against them on personal choice grounds and a good deal also claim the laws actually endanger our health by discouraging people to ride. So is this true?
