Are the two circumstances linked in any way, and can anything be done to salvage locally produced Indigenous content?

With SBS and NITV reaching an agreement on the back of the federal Government’s $63 million injection into creating a new Indigenous channel, their national digital service will be rolled out by the end of this year. However, at the same time, there is the impending reality that all analog television stations will be switched off at the end of 2013, leaving many local stations out on a limb.
