A leaked federal government discussion paper revealed the government is considering reviewing how education funding operates. The paper provided four options, one of which was the suggestion that if the federal government, rather than the states, became the main supporter of schools, this funding may be means tested. So, whose responsibility is it to support our public schools? And what does this mean for the Gonski reforms?
