If you’re feeling guilty every time you turn on the light or jump into your car, how does using nuclear power sit with your conscience? According to some of Australia’s premier scientists, it may be the country’s best option in order to seek fossil fuel reduction. Up until now the issue has been put on the sidelines, with government, energy and green groups preferring to discuss other forms of fuel such as carbon capture and storage or renewable energies such as wind and solar. But the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering says that nuclear is not as bad as it’s been portrayed, and it should come back on the energy radar.
