The media is currently awash with reports of child abuse outside of Aboriginal communities – charges such as neglect, child pornography and manslaughter – and only hours ago a report came in of a murder suicide of a man and his children. If child abuse is such a widespread problem, why hasn’t a Northern Territory style intervention been announced for suburban Australia?
