International Clitoris Day was on Saturday. Considering that over 50% of the worlds population have one, a surprising number of people still don’t know where it is, what it looks like, or even what its for. To bring the clitoris out of the closet, 5 years ago, the comedian and activist Sia Amma declared March 20th as International Clitoris Day. Born in Sierra Leone and now living in San Francisco, Amma is founder of the non-profit organisation Women Intact, which conducts sexual education workshops in Africa to combat Female Genital Mutilation.
