Interfaith conference aims to bridge the religious divide

Religion is once again being marketed as the justification of conflict and war. But moderate religious believers have had enough of destorted verisions of their religious values being used to justify violence. At an interfaith conference over the weekend in Sydney the three Abrahamic faiths Judaism, Catholism and Islam came together to advocate moderate central religious theology as a means of achieving peace. The conference organised by the Affinity Intercultural Foundation focused moving beyound dialogue and creating interfaith cooperation Rabbi John Levi, a key speaker at the conference, spoke to the Wire’s reporter Sarah Bassiuoni about the dangers which interfaith dialogue can over come.
