The inquest has begun into the Christmas Island boat crash of December 2010 which saw thirty people killed and twenty still missing, believed dead, when a boat carrying asylum seekers crashed into rocks. Sophie Peer from the Refugee Council of Australia hopes the inquest will provide not only answers as to why this incident occurred but also provide closure to the families of the deceased.
