The Government allocated $12 million in the budget on Tuesday for the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies to digitise much of its film, video and audio collection. The Principal of AIATSIS Steve Larkin says the process will allow for much greater access to the collection, with plans for much of it to made available over the internet.
