Mob across the country have gathered this week on Noongar country to take part in the annual National Indigenous University games.

More than 500 Indigenous student athletes from over 30 universities across Australia competed in sports like touch football, basketball, netball and volleyball.

The event is more than just sports and brings communities and cultures together to celebrate black excellence.

National Indigenous Radio Services reporter Micah Kickett attended the event speaking to a couple of students about their experience.
