Humanitarian crisis escalates as fighting intensifies in Yemen

A large number of disparate groups opposing Houthi rebels and forces loyal to ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh have today control of the port, airport and most of the urban area of Aden, the south Yemeni port city. This sounds like good news for President-in-exile Hadi, but like all things in this conflict, the news is mixed. Many groups still oppose his rule as well. But the Saudi blockade continues, and this is the worst news for the Yemeni people who need food, water and medical supplies desperately.
