The Federal Government is set to sign off on a controversial asylum seeker swap deal with Malaysia. The deal has drawn criticism from a wide range of groups who believe Malaysia’s poor human rights record makes it an unsuitable destination for refugee processing. Interviewees: Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, who has introduced a amendment bill to parliament to ensure more scrutiny of the deal.
