The access to traditional medicines through Medicare has the potential to greatly enhance better health outcomes for Indigenous communities.

A study released today by Dr. Alana Gall, a Truwulway woman and post-doctoral research fellow at Southern Cross University, highlights the critical role of healthcare in promoting the health and wellbeing of First Nations people by incorporating cultural practices, such as bush medicines, into Australia’s healthcare framework.
