The Sudan elections usually mean another term for long time President Omar al-Bashir. He seems to have a lot of support amongst the vote rigging community. But currently he has an indictment from International Criminal Court for amongst other crimes, genocide; and he has very limited options if he does not win again. There are up to 19 opposition groups, and islamic extremists are also looking to gain a foothold in Sudan. Having lost southern Sudan, he also has an economic crisis as the oil industry went to the south, cutting off his main source of income.
