High rates of mental illness found in Uni students

A new study has shown that over 80% of university students are suffering from psychological distress. In comparison to the general population, researchers from the University of Queensland have found that Australian tertiary students are three times more likely to be experiencing mental health issues. Six and a half thousand students from around the country were polled, with a shocking 19% showing signs of having serious mental illnesses, five times that of the national average.
