Australian terrorist suspect David Hicks’s Australian lawyer, David McLeod, returned to Adelaide today after visiting Hicks in the Guantanamo Bay military prison. Mr McLeod has raised concerns about his client’s condition, saying Hicks has a sense of hopelessness. Elaine Cassell is an attorney and a human rights advocate in America. In the past she has commented to The Wire on political and legal issues concerning the War on Terror. She is especially interested in the fate of Guantanamo Bay inmates, including, David Hicks. As Terry Hicks lives in Adelaide, we invited him to our studio and arranged for Elaine Cassel to speak with him about the imprisonment of his son David.
