It’s been a brutal day for the Federal Labor Party, in the wake of yesterday’s leadership spill. Front benchers have been jumping ship all day, so what’s next for Labor just six months out from an election?

Today,  Labor members of parliament will be hoping  Kevin Rudd’s  declaration that he  will never return to the  Labor party leadership is positive news for the beleaguered party. Many held him responsible for the on-going leadership speculation which destabilised the parliamentary Labor party and damaged the government’s reputation.
